THESE ARE THE THREE
MOST IMPORTANT RACES FOR BANKERS

Please donate to each TODAY!

Your donation not only helps us elect individuals who will fight for traditional banking in Congress, it sends a loud message to every member of Congress that bankers are ready to stand up and demand an end to the political vilification and regulatory abuse that is destroying traditional banking in America.

While PACs donate a little to a lot of candidates, Friends of Traditional Banking encourages our 25,000+ members like YOU to donate what you can to just three key races. The result? A money bomb in each critical race that makes a huge difference (see our recent wins HERE).

Our leadership committees of banking leaders from around the nation have officially endorsed these three races. Please join the momentum and do what you can to help each!

Banker Eric Hovde

US Senate candidate in Wisconsin

Eric Hovde is an entrepreneur and a banker, who is running for office as a first-term US Senator from Wisconsin. As a classic entrepreneur, he founded and managed his first business in his twenties and went on to start and build many others.

He is Chairman and CEO of Sunwest Bank, headquartered in Utah. He is also CEO and co-owner of Hovde Properties, LLC, a third-generation family company that develops and manages real estate in the Madison, WI, area. Eric is also a senior executive or board member for several other businesses operating in the financial services sector.

As a high profile statewide race in one of this year's swing states, Eric will need help from fellow bankers around the country. Although he started well behind the incumbent, Eric continues to gain ground in what will surely be a close race! See latest polls HERE

"As a banker himself, Eric understands first-hand the regulatory burden and other challenges the industry struggles with every day. He is also very aware of the significant, impactful work bankers do through their advice, loans and other products and services to help their local communities, business owners and individuals realize their goals and dreams. Eric understands that a strong, diverse, and healthy banking industry is central to economic growth. As a U.S. Senator, Eric will support policies that help banks and businesses thrive."

Rep. Zach Nunn

In tight reelection race in Iowa

A freshman representative who is an ally for free markets, banking, and American enterprise on the House Financial Services, Zach Nunn is a huge community banking advocate who needs our help.

This is also one of the tightest races in the country. The LATEST POLLS show Zach in a dead heat in a race that was decided by only .03% in 2022. Zach can win this, but to do so he needs the help of Friends of Traditional Banking.

"Zach is incredibly deserving of this endorsement from FOTB. He has an appreciation for the value of traditional banks to our communities. This shows up in the policies he supports, such as co-sponsorship of the ACRE Act and voting to overturn the CFPB’s rule requiring small business data collection. Zach serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the Agriculture Committee. Both committees determine policy critical to the future of community banks. I urge bankers from across the country to support Zach Nunn in his challenging re-election fight."

Rep. David Schweikert

In tight reelection race in Arizona

Representative David Schweikert has been a friend to the banking industry since being elected to Congress in 2010. He was placed on the House Financial Services Committee as a freshman, which is exceedingly rare. He has since moved to the House Ways & Means Committee, arguably one of the most powerful committees in the entire Congress, where he chairs the all-important Subcommittee on Oversight.

However, he may be in the toughest race of his congressional career. His opponent is a very smart and very good campaigner, and the new configuration of the district makes it much more competitive. In the LATEST POLLS the race is even and certainly within the margin or error.

"Throughout his accomplished tenure, he has always given representatives of this industry unfettered access and opportunities to make our case. He approaches national policy questions with an open mind and high degree of intellectual curiosity. His philosophical bent is for economic growth facilitated by open markets, minimal regulation, and fair competition. Having Schweikert in Congress is good for the banking industry in this country, which in turn is good for Arizona and America.”

Friends of Traditional Banking is a non-partisan grassroots effort organized by bankers in 2012 to improve the political and regulatory environment for the traditional banking industry in the U.S. FOTB is the inverse of a PAC--instead of spreading a little bit of money to a lot of campaigns, they focus a lot of money on a couple of key campaigns.
