Representative Jeff Denham, first elected to Congress in 2011, represents California's 10th District in the Central Valley. Rep. Denham is running for re-election in a district where the opposing political party has a voter advantage of almost 3%; this makes his seat a top priority for his opponents in the 2018 election.
Rep. Denham has been a strong supporter of key banking issues in the House including H.R. 10, the Financial Choice Act. He has a long history of supporting the issues most important to California bankers, not only in Congress, but also in the California Legislature where he served from 2001-2010.
Rep. Denham currently serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the Natural Resources Committee, and the House Agriculture Committee. Prior to his election to the California Legislature, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Desert Storm and in Somalia with Operation Restore Hope.
"Representative Denham is someone who understands and appreciates the significant contributions the banking industry makes to support our economy. He is always willing to meet with our bankers in the district and in Washington, D.C., to help us find solutions to reduce regulatory burdens and support the banking community."
